Investment

Tenants can find out when their homes will be upgraded by looking at the Association’s five year investment programme.

A five year programme's in place to maintain and upgrade homes in all four neighbourhoods.

Tenants can now see when work on heating systems, kitchens, bathrooms, windows and roofs are scheduled to take place until 2024. Door entry systems, common areas and environmental works are also included.

The programme’s part of our ongoing investment into local communities and neighbourhoods.

Although all plans can change and the Covid-19 pandemic is still taking place, we aim to keep to this programme as best we can to ensure that Queens Cross homes remain desirable, high quality properties for affordable rent long into the future.

Each Queens Cross neighbourhood will receive significant investment over the five year period. The main projects for each area are:

Woodside

Environmental improvements will take place at Cedar multi storey flats and deck access properties in Year 2 (2020-21).

Queens Cross

Common works to red sandstone tenement properties in the Garscube area in Year 3 (2021 - 2022). The properties at Ancroft Street, Garscube Road and Nansen Street will undergo remedial works to the fabric of the buildings including the stonework, roof, guttering as well as environmental works. Works will also be undertaken to the door entry systems and internal common areas.

Westercommon/Hamiltonhill

Comprehensive internal refurbishments will be carried out to all of the Westercommon multi-storeys in Years 4 and 5 (2022 - 2024). These works will include a complete electrical rewire, new kitchen units and bathroom suites.

Dundasvale

Having just upgraded multi-storey common areas, the multi-storey will also get a replacement heating system along with new kitchen units in Year 5 (2023-2024).
