Queens Cross appoint Anne Ramsey as new board chair
Queens Cross Housing has announced the appointment of Anne Ramsey as the Association’s new board chair.
A local tenant, Anne’s interest in the community saw her join the housing association board in 2016 before becoming vice chair in 2021.
Anne has also been involved in Queens Cross Community Foundation, the charitable arm of Queens Cross Group, who provide funding to support individuals, community groups and local projects to improve life opportunities.
Anne replaces the outgoing Andrew Burns, who stood down at the Association’s special 50th anniversary AGM in September after five years in the role.
During his time as chair, Andrew led Queens Cross through the Covid pandemic and oversaw the launch of the association’s 2025-2030 business plan.
Speaking at a special AGM celebrating the Association’s 50th anniversary, Queens Cross Chief Executive Shona Stephen said to a packed audience:
“I’d like to thank Andrew Burns for the support, dedication and care he has given Queens Cross during his time as board chair. He takes a genuine personal interest in our people and our work and chaired with thoughtfulness, commitment and values that were always evident.
“I look forward to working with our new Chair, Anne Ramsey. She brings the perspective of a tenant, the experience of a board member and a clear commitment to Queens Cross."
