Exploring the science behind healthy food community meal
At this event, all members of the community are invited to come along and explore the science behind healthy food throughout the human life cycle in the form of a free community meal experience and a celebration of some of the Scottish Female Pioneers in the study of Dietetics.
This is a an opportunity for participants to try new foods in a fun environment and get some ideas for nutritious family meals with the help of GCU Researcher Dr. Alex Mavroeidi and The Courtyard’s cook, Sharon.
GCU has the longest running Dietetics programme in Scotland thanks to our founding institutions. We will showcase some of the archives relating to Poverty, Health, Diet and Education in Glasgow: from Domestic Science to the Allied Health Professions, 1875-1993 records of the Glasgow and West of Scotland College of Domestic Science.
