Queens Cross and Glasgow Caledonian University have joined up to host a new series of free talks where people can learn and debate with experts about important subjects that are rarely discussed. Food and refreshments are provided.
Whose Superbug Crisis is it anyway? Thursday 26 October, Mackintosh Church, 870 Garscube Road, 6-8pm.
A debate about suberbugs and antibiotic use. After hearing arguments from GCU’s Safeguarding Health through Infection Prevention research group, the audience will decide who is responsible for the superbug crisis and what we can do about it.
Can we harness the digital revolution to improve health in Scotland? Thursday 23 November at The Courtyard community centre, 2 Westercommon Drive, 5-7pm.
Can texting, social media and webcams reduce binge-drinking, improve sexual health and enhance parents’ relationships with sick or premature babies? Join GCU’s Healthy Lives & Relationships Research Group for an overview of their work followed by an audience debate.
