Public information events on 600 new homes for Hamiltonhill

Come along to our drop-in sessions at The Courtyard to let us know your views - 22 and 24 June 2017Hamiltonhill and Westercommon residents are encouraged to come along and have their views heard over a new 600 unit housing development in Hamiltonhill.

The proposals will be outlined at two drop in sessions at the Association’s Courtyard Community Centre, Westercommon Drive, on Thursday, June 22 (2-6pm) and Saturday, June 24 (10am - 1pm).

The proposals outline a build of mixed social rented and owner occupied houses and flats on currently derelict areas of the neighbourhood along with shops, parks and recreation areas.

Information boards will be on display outlining the proposal and Queens Cross staff, architects and planners will be on hand to answer questions.

‘This will be one of the biggest developments in this part of the city for many years and will impact on the lives of a great many people, so it’s important we get it right,’ said Head of Development, Niall McKinnon.

‘Listening and responding to existing residents plays a big part in helping us achieve what best for everyone in the area, so I would urge people to come along and have their say.’

Although local residents are encouraged to attend, all Queens Cross residents are welcome.
